About Shelf Edge Writing Workbench

shelf-edge-writing-workbench.hub2.day is a focused, independent web utility that helps independent booksellers, librarians, and gift-shop curators draft short shelf-edge inscriptions, dedications, and micro-blurbs. It is designed as a browser-based scratch desk where you can write, preview characters, and prepare printable layout strips for handwritten shelf talkers.

The site is built to keep the drafting process simple and consistent. You can experiment with wording, see how long your text will be, and generate a clean strip layout that is easy to print and use at the shelf edge.

We created this tool because small retailers and curators often need quick, repeatable drafts for labels and talkers, without the overhead of full design software. The workbench is intentionally narrow in scope: it helps you write and preview short texts, not manage entire catalogs or marketing campaigns.

The site is maintained as a small public utility. It is not a company, agency, or professional service, and it does not offer consulting or custom design work.
